NISI DOMINUS FRUSTRA
Without God, all is in vain.

BBGS
We pledge to thee,
Our love and toil in the years to be,
When we are grown and take our place,
As loyal women with our race.

Father in heaven, who lovest all,
O help Thy children when they call,
That they may build from age to age,
An undefiled heritage.

Teach us to bear the yoke in youth,
With steadfastness and careful truth,
That in our time, Thy grace may give,
The truth whereby the nations live.

Teach us delight in simple things,
And mirth that has no bitter springs,
Forgiveness free of evil done,
And love to all men 'neath the sun.

BBGS
We pledge to thee,
Our love and toil in the years to be,
When we are grown and take our place,
As loyal women with our race.

BBGS was one of Kuala Lumpur's premier school. BBGS was the oldest school in Kuala Lumpur, surpassing Victoria Institution, Methodist Boy's School, Convent Bukit Nanas, St John's Institution and Maxwell School.  Initially known as The Chinese Girls' School, BBGS was established by Miss Betty Langlands in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur.

BBGS is a great school.  The buildings may no longer be there, but the spirit of the school lives on in the hearts and the spirits of the girls.  Girls who went on to become great women, each pursuing different life paths with great passion and love for life and living.  BBGS girls are title holders, Pulitzer prize winners, award winners, leaders of industries, heads of companies, actresses, singers, good wives, great wives, wonderful teachers, understanding mothers and women of substance.

... and this is where I waited for the Bus Sekolah ...

Above these corridors were the dreaded Home Science rooms, where we sewed the funniest of garments, and learnt things like box pleats, double stiched half inch seams and how to hem delicate silk skirts.

Chemistry Lab - Where Gazel, Sit and Siew Mei were very busy mixing all the chemicals in the back row because we could not stop laughing at the relief teacher - Mr SUU-GA
